Problem Solving
Problem solving is a process to develop and explore the cause-effect relationships. The causes and effects are variables and their type depends on the area of application. These variables are related to each other through established laws and principles, relationships that are derived or obtained from experiments or past experience, and definitions. The laws/principles, relationships, and definitions can be collectively called as Governing Conditions.
In a problem, some variables are given and the unknown variables are determined by utilizing the Governing Conditions.

Problem solving is an exercise that can be categorized into the following classes:
- Problem solving in education and training in a classroom.
- Problem solving for new product or process design in industry.
- Problem solving for expansion, reorganization, and planning in business.
We build software for problem-solving in business, education, and industry. |
One can encounter problems of two kinds:
- Direct Problems: The beginning variables are given and the ending variables are computed - the cause is known and the effect is determined.
- Inverse Problems: A set of desired ending variables is given and the beginning variables are computed - the cause is determined for a desired effect.
We build Concept-Map based software for solving direct and inverse problems according to your needs.
